GuideNH In-Game Guide Framework
GuideNH is an in-game guide framework that lets players open interactive guides directly within Minecraft using a configurable keybind. Output side selection in singleblock GUI
Singleblock machine GUIs now allow players to select which side outputs items or fluids without rotating the machine. Shift-click the item or fluid auto-output button and a small pad of arrows plus a back-face button appears, letting you send output to any side except the one the GUI is on.

Connected textures across GregTech
Every piece of GregTech glass, every coil, solenoid and winding, the whole Waterline and a few dozen casings now use connected textures. Casings, glass, coils, solenoids and windings blend into their neighbours instead of tiling, machine blocks and hatches match the casing they are set into, and the Waterline plant got the same treatment. The author called the pull request that started it "the great CTMification", which is about right - it reaches most of what you look at while building.
All of it rests on the compact CTM support Angelica added this cycle; see Compact connected textures in Angelica for the renderer side. CropsNH picked up the same casing-texture interface, so the Industrial Farm's controller now blends into its casing block.
This is how the blocks are drawn, not what they do.

Instantly Connecting Pipes
All GregTech fluid pipes, item pipes, and cables now connect instantly when placed, eliminating the visual delay players previously experienced. As before, they still only connect where you point them, not to every neighbour.

Ice Creams
A new Ice Cream Machine, complete with its own 3D model, dispenses one of about 70 hand-drawn ice creams for two Gold Credits, and it is fussy: it rolls a chance of being out of order each day and has a daily serving limit. Some flavours do something when eaten: Hot Fudge gives Fire Resistance, MHDCSM gives Strength and Resistance, and a few of the less appetising ones will make you regret it.

The Tool Station, Tool Forge and Crafting Station now apply as much of a modifier as the tool can take in one go, and leave any leftover modifier items in the grid instead of eating them or refusing the craft.

New Main Menu Backgrounds
The main menu has 23 new backgrounds sourced from NASA and ESA, featuring photography from the Hubble Space Telescope, James Webb Space Telescope, and the Artemis II mission. The menu itself was reworked too - a Credits button, recolored and repositioned buttons, an image-credit line, and an up-to-date Discord link.

Instant-On Multiblock Recipe Checks
Multiblocks now react to their hatches the moment something changes instead of re-checking on a timer, so an idle multi starts the tick its inputs land rather than up to five seconds later; it should also help TPS in bases full of idle machines, though that has not been measured. New items in an input bus or hatch, a drained output, a swapped data stick, a stocking bus restocking from ME: all of it kicks off a recipe check on the next tick.

Mass Solidifier Multiblock
A fixed-size replacement for the Fluid Shaper: no more width mechanic, a flat 10 parallels per voltage tier, the hatch space of a full-width Shaper in a far smaller build, and a 20% EU discount. Existing Fluid Shapers convert to Mass Solidifiers in a crafting table, and everything that used to be built with a Shaper now asks for a Solidifier. The Fluid Shaper is deprecated and due for removal after 2.9. How high an energy hatch the Solidifier takes is set by the glass you build it with, all the way up, and it accepts the Debug Energy Hatch. In NEI it now sorts below the LV Fluid Solidifier.

Enchanting Automation
Full automation support for enchanting machines: the Thaumic Bases Overchanting Table, Draconic Evolution Disenchanter, and EnderIO Enchanter. All three take items from hoppers and pull experience from nearby Automagy XP jars or EnderIO XP Obelisks. The Overchanting Table and Disenchanter start on a redstone pulse; the EIO Enchanter crafts when a hopper pulls the finished book and emits a comparator signal you can build a clock around.
