Eight of the entries on the Before you update page are about OpenComputers programs. They came from three mods and landed in five different chapters, so they are gathered here. The steps stay on Before you update; what follows is what changed.

Two of the eight are told in full elsewhere and are not repeated. The TecTech parameter rewrite, where setParameters(hatch, slot, value) becomes setParameter(name, value), belongs to The ModularUI2 port; the Computronics half of it is the last entry below. The ASM transformer rewrite that cut startup from 850ms to 100ms is under Performance. The OpenComputers fixes that change no API are listed by mod under Bug Fixes.

Machine scanner output is now translation keys

getSensorInformation() hands back the untranslated keys the client turns into display text now, instead of the finished, coloured text it returned in 2.8.4. A line that read "Efficiency: 100 %" arrives as GT5U.multiblock.scanner.efficiency with its arguments appended after it. GregTech's own scanner and its metrics cover were taught to decode this, but the Computronics bridge passes the strings straight through.

Two further traps for anything that indexes the array. A line is emitted only when it applies, so a stopped machine hands back fewer entries than a running one and every position after the gap moves. And numbers arrive with thousands separators, switching to exponential notation above a trillion, which defeats tonumber().

Around 160 machines are affected: GregTech, TecTech, GT++, GoodGenerator, Bartworks, KubaTech, KekzTech and the Space Elevator among them.

AE2 fluids and essentia through the StackAPI

The AE2 integration was rebuilt on a new StackAPI that carries fluids and essentia alongside items, and several crashes and deadlocks in AE2 inventory operations went with it.

One break for existing programs: setInterfacePatternInput and setInterfacePatternOutput take the pattern index as the second argument now, as (slot, index, database, entry, size), instead of taking it last. The store, clear and essentia calls are unchanged.

OpenComputers AE2 integration overhaul

Item quantities now use 64-bit longs, network queries accept table and NBT parameters, a getCraftable method is available, and Lua indexing is corrected to 1-based. Three breaking changes for existing scripts: AE2 slot arguments are now 1-based like the rest of OpenComputers, the Data Card's decodeNBT returns a typed NBT struct - the new nbt.lua helper reads and writes it like before - and on the ThaumicEnergistics side the essentia call is now getTag, with the essentia import, export and storage bus configuration taking an aspect name directly.

Drivers that reported the wrong number

Three drivers handed back a wrong value and hand back the right one now, so a program written against the old reading has to change.

The Lapotronic Supercapacitor answers as its own component named LSC, which outranks the generic gt_energyContainer it presented in 2.8.4: a lookup for gt_energyContainer on an LSC finds nothing and one for LSC finds it. Its stored and capacity figures were wrong and are right now, and getStoredEUString and getEUCapacityString hand back the full figure as a string for banks too large for a long.

geolyzer.analyze on a GregTech machine gained machineType, metaId and gtMetaId, and its sensorInformation comes from the machine itself, so only a real GregTech tile entity carries it and a non-GregTech block that answered through the same capability in 2.8.4 hands back nothing. Those strings are translation keys now, in the format described above.

A Blood Magic altar read through an Adapter returned its capacity from getSacrificeMultiplier, which was simply the wrong number. It returns the actual sacrifice multiplier now.

Batched clipboard paste in OpenComputers

OpenComputers can now send pasted text to terminals in batches instead of one signal per line, which avoids signal-queue overflow and truncation on large pastes. The feature is opt-in via config to preserve backward compatibility with existing scripts.

Space Elevator parameters need Computronics 1.9.10

The tt_machine component addresses a parameter by name now, and Computronics 1.9.10 is what carries the new component. OpenComputers control of Space Elevator module parameters works again on that version and not before it, so both mods have to come from 2.9.0 together. The rewrite itself is told under The ModularUI2 port.
