GT5-Unofficial

  • #7468 [rebuild required] Removes durability from photolithographic masks and replaces the focus input bus with a regular input bus on the Target Chamber, allowing masks to stack and work with stocking input buses. Recipe amounts are adjusted proportionally to account for mask durability removal. - @error1number404
    • Technical: Removed mask durability mechanic from ItemPhotolithographicMask and MaskList; replaced focus input bus requirement with regular input bus in MTETargetChamber; multiplied BeamlineRecipeLoader recipe quantities by original mask durability values; removed TargetChamberFrontend duplicate handler.
    • What to do: Rebuild target chamber machines to accept regular input buses instead of focus input buses; update mask inventory systems to work with non-durable masks and adjust recipes for new requirements.
  • #7293 [rebuild required] Gate recipes have been significantly nerfed to rebalance end-game progression. This is a counterpart to coremod changes and should only be merged alongside gate nerf in NewHorizonsCoreMod. - @Ruling-0
    • Technical: Removed BEC material infrastructure classes, updated gate recipes and material definitions. Removed BECMaterial, BECMaterialIds, BECMaterialList and related texture/icon classes. Modified ItemList and Materials to handle gate changes.
    • What to do: Rebuild gates and restock component supplies; gate recipes or availability have changed fundamentally.
  • #6284 [rebuild required] The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) now requires significantly fewer ALICE casings (UEV-tier): reduced from 380 to 158. This lowers the build cost by roughly 4.7 million infinity, making it more reasonable and consistent with other LHC casing requirements. - @ham-corp
    • Technical: Changed ALICE casing count in LHCStructureString from 380 to 158 to balance with other LHC casings (140-160 range).
    • What to do: Rebuild any existing LHC multiblocks; the ALICE casing count has been reduced from 380 to 158.
  • #4269 [rebuild required] Reworked High Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor (HTGR): retiered to IV, added alternative europium/americium recipes gated behind promethium, enabled breeding of various materials, and adjusted performance to scale with fuel load and maintenance. - @kuba6000
    • Technical: Replaced MTEHighTempGasCooledReactor implementation with new mechanics: linear speed scaling (100s-1000s based on pellet count), 0.1415% fuel conversion per operation affected by maintenance, 0.05% helium loss per operation, minimum 10% helium requirement. Removed old bartworks reactor code.
    • What to do: HTGR has been retiered to IV and mechanics significantly changed; rebuild and reconfigure your reactor. Breeding paths for osmium, indium, and fissile materials now depend on HTGR.
  • #7635 [recipes changed] Dragonblood recipe balance adjusted: Mixer recipe duration increased 3x to 2100s, and DEFC coil tier requirement reduced from T3 to T2. This addresses balance issues introduced by recent Mixer changes. - @UltraProdigy
    • Technical: Modified DEFCRecipes.java to adjust DEFC recipe coil tier requirements (T3→T2), and increased Mixer recipe duration to 2100s to rebalance throughput against the overpowered Mixer.
    • What to do: Update dragonblood production setups to account for longer mixer recipe times (3x duration) and reduced DEFC coil tiers; recalculate throughput for your production chains.
  • #7569 [recipes changed] Removed the ability to saw unstable ingots into nuggets, closing an exploit that bypassed the intended trade-off (1 diamond for full ingots vs 9 diamonds for nuggets). Unstable ingots must now be crafted as full ingots or properly converted to 9 nuggets. - @FourIsTheNumber
    • Technical: Added material check in ProcessingNugget autogen code to prevent sawing unstable ingots. Consistent with existing material-specific exceptions in autogen recipes.
    • What to do: Stop using saws to convert unstable ingots to nuggets; use the intended crafting recipes instead (1 ingot for 1 diamond or 9 nuggets for 9 diamonds).
  • #7428 [recipes changed] Eternity and Magmatter nanites now cost more Universium nanites to craft, making them genuine late-game bottlenecks. Related recipes adjusted to compensate. - @Ruling-0
    • Technical: Updated NaniteChain recipes: Eternity increased from 0 to 2 Universium nanites, Magmatter from 1 to 4. Adjusted BEC, MHDCSM, Forming Press, and Plasma Forge recipe costs accordingly.
    • What to do: Eternity and Magmatter nanite recipes now cost more and produce less; revise BEC and related machine builds requiring these nanites.
  • #7373 [recipes changed] Reduced Shirabon processing times and removed direct crafting recipes for IV+ tier material components (foils, gears, etc.). Shirabon mass decreased from 294 to 128, EU consumption lowered to 60% of full recipe amplitude, and superdense plate recipes adjusted to compensate. - @Ruling-0
    • Technical: Updated material and recipe loaders across Bartworks and Gregtech to reduce Shirabon mass, EU consumption, and crafting table recipes for high-tier components; adjusted EOH superdense plate quantities accordingly.
    • What to do: Shirabon crafting chains will take significantly less time; adjust production planning and buffer sizes for the new recipe durations.
  • #7433 [recipes changed] Advanced Assembly Line can now overclock to sub-1-tick speeds with NAC support, removing the 72,000 executions/hour limit and enabling late-game scaling without workarounds. - @1328116700
    • Technical: Modified OverclockCalculator and MTEAdvAssLine to support sub-1-tick overclocking. Added comprehensive unit tests for overclock scenarios.
    • What to do: Advanced Assembly Line can now overclock below 1 tick; recalibrate parallel counts and production chains relying on the old 72,000 executions/hour ceiling.
  • #6263 [recipes changed] Rebalanced RC Water Tank recipe to make it more valuable as the water pump has made it obsolete in late Steam Age and early LV. Steel and Stainless Steel stick requirements adjusted, and Assembler recipes added for completeness. - @Dream-Master
    • Technical: Modified AssemblerRecipes.java to remove old recipes (62 lines deleted) and adjust Water Tank recipe costs in recipe loader; requires NewHorizonsCoreMod#1676.
    • What to do: Water Tank recipe costs have changed; re-craft Water Tanks and Siding if needed.
    • Closes #24094
  • #7074 Added Superdense Plate variants for Bartworks and GT++ materials (requiring Black Holes for highest tiers). Adjusted voltage tiers for many Bartworks materials to match their progression tier instead of LV/MV, significantly affecting late-game balance. - @Auynonymous
    • Technical: Added autogenerated Superdense Plates to Werkstoff system for materials with Dense Plates (BW) and selected late-game materials (GTPP). Adjusted recipe voltage requirements for ~15 Bartworks materials (Rhodium, Ruthenium, HDCS, etc.) from LV/MV to EV/IV/LuV/ZPM/UV tiers.
  • #6974 Removed parallel caps on Black Hole Compressor for non-black-hole recipes when stability is below 20. This significantly buffs BHC for general compression and reduces HIP machine spam. - @Ruling-0
    • Technical: Modified MTEBlackHoleCompressor.java to allow unlimited parallels on recipes that don't require a black hole and have stability < 20, standardized recipe metadata calls to use static imports, and fixed incorrect metadata declarations in GTRecipeConstants.java.
  • #6765 Rebalanced Hypogen and Endgame Ore materials processing voltages for Exo-Foundry. Hypogen now processes at UEV voltage and End-of-Hierarchy materials at UXV, allowing use of Exo-Foundry without modules for Hypogen while adding incentive for module upgrades. - @chrombread
    • Technical: Changed Hypogen material voltage tier to UEV and EOH materials to UXV in MaterialsInit.java and MaterialsElements.java. Adjusted fluid solidification recipes in RecipeGenFluids.java.
  • #5246 Nether froth mining rates are now 8× lower, requiring less netherrack for netherite processing. This discourages mass Nether quarrying while keeping alternative generation methods viable, reducing server lag. - @Glease
    • Technical: RecipeLoaderMilling adjusted netherrack-to-netherite ratio by reducing output volume 8×.
  • ...and 79 smaller change(s), see the full list per mod.
