Bose-Einstein Condensate multiblocks

Index · Previous: Multiblock structure rework · Next: Nanochip Assembly Complex

A new system for assembling late-game parts, built to replace Advanced Assembly Line spam. It arrived mid-cycle and was tuned in the open for the rest of the release, so most of what follows is the balance and recipe work that came after the machines themselves.

Bose-Einstein Condensate: the system arrives

Several fairly simple multiblocks that have to be used together, rather than one enormous line. They all operate on a resource called condensate, which cannot be produced anywhere outside the BEC network, so the system has to be automated with its own hatches and tools. The design is deliberately lenient in most respects and punishing if you automate it badly: where much of GTNH is all-or-nothing, here there is room to make a working setup faster. OpenComputers drivers are provided so a computer can drive the multiblocks directly.

Beam Stabilizer

Beam mirrors now have forced structure requirements for 90 and 180 degree angles, and the beamline and LHC have been refactored to use casings enums for consistency. Beamcrafter logic has been fixed, client-to-server sync issues resolved, and beamcrafting multiblock structures have been downtiered.

BEC Storage

BEC storage hatches now correctly update when the multiblock configuration changes or shuts down, with the condensate detector hatch properly syncing state. Multiple stability fixes have been applied throughout the storage system.
